This is an institutional research project which evaluates the experiences and outcomes of participation in Career Accelerator, a career development programme for female staff delivered by an external provider at BCU in 2023 and 2024. The project is gathering data on participants’ motivations to join the programme and its impact. Research findings will be used to inform decision-making about future funding of the same or similar programmes and also to reflect on the effectiveness of such programmes in addressing gendered issues relating to career progression in higher education.

Project participants (n=25) are self-selecting members of two cohorts, surveyed and interviewed three times over an eight month period following completion of the programme.
