Artwork

I began experimenting with visual methods of disseminating my research in 2017. My earliest attempts were very basic hand-drawn cartoons/comics, followed by (slightly) more sophisticated illustrations and collage in the form of graphic and visual essays. These are graphic social science ie: using graphic forms to share research data. In 2021 I self-published the graphic novella: Five Survive Lockdown. See below for project summaries and galleries. I’ve completed several research illustration projects for fellow academics. I’m currently engaged on my most ambitious graphic social science project yet with a graphic narrative: A Feminist Family History in Eight Lives.
