Being a poet in residence is nervewracking. I was required to 'perform' a poem or poems at the conference dinner at the end of the first day of the conference. Quite an ask! festivals
For the past two years I've curated and directed the xCHANGE festival at Birmingham City University. This month-long festival of presentation, participation and provocation marks International Women's Day and is a university-wide festival with multiple local events and organisers. This year (2020) the festival was cut short right in the middle by COVID-19 but achieved a great deal in its first fortnight nevertheless. go to gallery
